this episode is NOT sponsored, but I do share details about my self-love challenge, which I receive compensation for when people join the challenge.

1. Forgive yourself

Forgive yourself for your past mistakes, times you may have treated yourself poorly or not believed in yourself. All of these things can have such a negative impact on how we view ourselves so practice actively forgiving yourself and make the intention to move on from the past. Allow yourself to make mistakes and have days where you don’t absolutely love yourself. The process of forgiving yourself may take some time, but it’s a key step to moving closer to self-acceptance and self-love.

2. set goals

This habit isn’t setting goals like “i want to love myself by this date, i want to forgive myself by this date,” but it’s setting goals of treating yourself better. Something you can actively work on. Mindset changes like loving yourself can take time, maybe even years, it may not be easy to measure progress by setting an end date for your goal. We want to be intentional about our goals. A few examples could be:

  • I want to treat myself better
  • In a few months, i want to insult myself less
  • I want to spend more time doing this thing that i enjoy, that makes me feel alive

If your goal is to insult yourself less, be attentive to how you speak about yourself, and be aware of when you insult yourself. if you do make a mistake and upset with yourself, that’s okay, it will happen. but then you can jump back to step one and forgive yourself for the insults, and move past it, actively trying to do it less in the future.

3. celebrate yourself

Celebrate the big wins and the little wins. When we accomplish goals, or we move into a new stage of our lives, take the time to celebrate what that means for you. Reflect on how far you’ve come, how your past self would be proud of you. Recognize your progress.

small step

In each episode, I give you a small step you can take in your self-love journey, and this week we have 3! Incorporate the above 3 steps into your routine this week, forgive yourself for the past, set yourself a goal you can work towards, and take time to celebrate your achievements!

remember that self-love goals are real goals.
